Default Speedometer reading off

So I have noticed that my speedometer is off on the s2k. I have checked it with my GPS and with friends cars driving beside me. soo....
According to GPS: Between 0-30 speedo is about right at about 40 it gets 1-2 mph off. When going 50 mph on GPS s2k speedo says 45. When GPS says 70 S2k speedo ranges from 59-60. Have not done testing above 70mph.
According to Friend: He goes 50 mph beside me and my s2k says 45 give 1 or 2 mph.
Also when I am going weather it be 70(GPS mph) or 50(GPS mph) lets use 70(GPS mph) for example, I am in 6th gear I put transmission in neutral and notice the s2ks reading goes from 60 or so up to 70 or whatever the true speed is. So it seems like the s2k can read my accual speed when in neutral but when in gear mph is off.
Any help is very much appricated!

Not when putting the car in neutral fixes the problem

The S2k has 4 wheel hub mounted sensors. This is what I would do.

1. I believe (read I have never dealt with this issue before) that the displayed speed is an average of the 4 sensors. Check the connections and see what happens.

2. Verify the input to the speed display.

3. Verify the CPU connections.

4. If nothing works, take it to a dealer or mechanic.
