bad ground wire? the one in the engine bay...are you saying its not properly grounded? wouldn't the car not be able to start?

Two weeks ago my alternator went out and I needed a flatbed... $200 bill for the tow. Don't make the same mistake.

BTW Autozone has a machine that requires you to physically remove the alternaror and it will test it. Mine failed.

I decided to just toss in a new alternator to see if it would help, and yeah the problem went away, the gauges do not dim / fade anymore and are very bright all the time.

about 200 dollars + 100 dollar core (you get this back) from NAPA


expensive


edit: I tried going to kragen, pep boys, and autozone, and they couldnt even ORDER it.

so where to s2k'ers get their alternators?

did you try www.hondaautomotive.com ?

what is napa's website, or how do i order from them to rebuild my alternator?

I do, you even asked where the part # was valid after VAD already posted it and said it could be used at Napa. I'd link to it but the search function is worse than useless for newer threads.
