Default Speedo wrong?

I just put an ap2 tranny in my ap1! Is the speedo off? If so is it by much or a little? Do i need to get a yellow box to fix it?
Thanks
Fadi

should be the same, your final drive ratio hasn't changed. speedo's are naturally off by the factory a little bit.

But is the sensor that picks up the signal in the AP2 tranny the same as in the AP1 tranny? Since our speedo is electronic, I would think the sensors would have to read the same.

As found in this thread:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry6930319

" Keep in mind, the vehicle speed is read from the countershaft, not the mainshaft.

You will need a yellow box to re-calibrate your speedo, or just leave it as is. It will read a few MPH higher than your actual road speed, and you'll get less speeding tickets"

When Billman speaks, we need to listen.
