Default Speedo Inaccuracy/Aftermarket Rear-end Error

I'm resurrecting this old thread (some of you may remember)- I think I have a relatively easy/cheap fix. For the newbies, you may have noticed that your speedo isn't dead-on, or have wondered what to do if you change out your rear end and all-of-a-sudden your speedo is off.

Before I move on a circuit design, I need to know two things:

- How far off is the speedo, stock?
- What "adjustments" are desired (i.e. what are the different rear-end ratios available)?

Once I know this I can ballpark what the solution would be. Once I can bench test it I'll post the design for hobbyists on the board. Parts shouldn't run more than $10 and should be buildable by anyone who can use a soldering iron.

Anyone who is interested, please post. If I can get this info (to get a ballpark on the design), I think I can make something that will work, and be adjustable, within range of what is available out there on different final drives.

There's a ciruit design in a recent Circuit Cellar issue. I think October or November issue.
