It is necessary to "check" the gap on all plugs before you put them in. Adjust as required.

Please be cautious. These plugs are very expensive and it has been said that even a change to "new" stock plugs will make a difference on an older S2000. This only goes to reason. Just as some have noticed that doing an oil change will make the car feel like it runs better. But if having "SPOON" plugs in your car gives you the "impression" it runs better, then by all means, spend the money. I hear that the "Spoon" sticker you get with the plugs alone will give you an additional 5HP. In reality, I doubt it makes any difference at all.

are not Spoon spark plugs simply Denso IK-24? I saw them advertised for as much as $90 for a set of four

EDIT*

from Modacar: (not sure how accurate this is....)

"Through the regulation of engine characteristics and the implementation of Denso-manufactured iridium plugs, racing plugs of two different thermal values have been made available at Spoon. The speed of heat escape is higher in plugs with larger thermal values, and consequently, such plugs are characterized by rapid cooling. Accordingly, a thermal value of 27 is recommended for high-load, circuit-type situations; a thermal value of 24, for regular road driving. Note, however that higher numbers do not necessarily lead to increased power and greater maximum speed."

make that price $95.

PS - denso IK-24 should be around 10-12 bucks a peice.....

Can you post the plug part #? And what gap did you use?
Ok I will post the part number tonight. I have the box at home.
I am running a .42 gap.

is it necessary to adjust the gap on the spark plugs??
My denso Came with a .32 gap which is wrong for n/a applications . So yes always check...even if they say pre-gapped!

I would be carefull using the Champions. I know that you are not supposed to use them (according to Honda Bike Service Guys)
Ok no problem so far. Thanks for the warning. I emailed Champion and got a response back saying that It is fine. But could be B.S. I've removed and reinstalled three times to check the plugs and so far easy in and out.
