Well, I dont want to run the chance of ruining the new set by gapping them appropriately so I just purchased the NGK Laser Iridium. purchased some random stuff to equal $50 then used my coupon code to get $20 off. 32$ is all I spent. Yay.

I tried the Iridium plugs and noticed absolutely zero difference (to include "wear") - which is frankly what you should expect. They looked identical to the OEM plugs at the same interval. I still change plugs out at 25K, whether they need to be changed or not. If I remember correctly, there were a rash of problems with iridium plugs failing in boosted cars a few years back as well. Even though my car is N/A, I felt it wasn't worth the risk of a plugs failing and decided to go back to OEM.
The OEM plugs work perfectly well and require no gapping as they are properly gapped from the factory.

can having the incorrect gap cause a misfire?
code p300, p301, and p304 came on yesterday when I was sitting at a stop light. This is the 2nd time it has done this. The first time was about a month ago and only code p301 came on. After checking the igniter and spark plugs to make sure it wasn't loose or damage, I put it back in and chalk it up for bad gas. Since then until yesterday, it was running fine.
Then yesterday out of the blue, it pop up these codes.
So can spark plug gap set the misfire off?
car has 75k on it and it had the new spark plugs in for a little over 11k.
let me know your thoughts before I go out and purchase a set of stock plugs. Thanks.

I wouldn't know. I suppose its possible. All I can say is get the oem platinum and not the iridium. My butt dyno reads that the platinum plugs that I had before ran me through the rpm band a lot faster and I felt more of a kick. Now it feels smoother yet slower. That's my opinion.
