Spark Plug Tube Seals. Left or Right?

Right. The lip should point up.

My car has been sputtering / missing as of late and I decide to pull the plugs and maybe do a VA. When pulling the coils and plugs I found that cylinders 1 and 4 had oil in the spark plug tubes and that the seals didn't look the same as 2 and 3 while I still had the VC on the motor. My VC has been powder-coated and wanted to make absolutely certain that the seals weren't in upside down. I'll have to make certain that all of the seals are seated properly ....

So maybe there was enough oil in the tubes to short out my coil(s) <-> spark plug(s)......

Let's hope that was the issue.

It can definitely short to ground if oil gets in there.
