Wantone,

From TSB 02-042: JHMAP1...2T006983 is the last VIN to require the new plugs. If your VIN is after that number, then you're all set.

i just got my letter , does it cause any damage to the engine if its been like that since i got? they say we've been sent the letter before, but apparently they had a wrong address and kept sending out our bill to the wrong place so its all screwed up here... i'm going to get this recall done tomorrow

Thanks, Razor. Awesome, if you can post the TSB info. There is a thread in this forum (UTH) which contains much of this information, but no one's ever been able to figure out if the list is complete.

Presidente... There has been a big to-do about the 4-hole oil jet bolts which were phased in mid-year MY02. I'm not going to summarize all that here, but there is no TSB for this change. However, in Europe, some countries got recalls for it.

Barry WY has posted somewhere the VIN for when the switchover occurred. If yours isn't covered, a number of people (Barry, for one) have had this done.

Beyond the plugs and the non-TSB'd banjo bolts, I am not aware of anything for MY02.
