Sound of Mugen CAI?
Can one of the owners of the Mugen CAI please explain to me what the intake sounds like at wide open throttle. Just did a search & couldn't find much info on the sound of this CAI. From what i hear the AEM & Injen CAI's are very louder than stock is the true with the Mugen also?

I heard a Mugen cai while following the S2000 that had one. It is definitely louder than stock. It is a nice, 'healthy' sound, and not obnoxious, imo. Not loud like a loud exhaust, however.

Mugen intake sound isn't anything like Injen or AEM.
Prolene has said it perfectly. Its sound is slightly pronounced above stock sound.
If you want something to make its presence known big then you will be disappointed.
Best engine sound is heard when the vented hood such as Mugen is used with the intake.
I can't never forget the VTEC howl when I had that combo. All I hear now is the whistle of the supercharger which doesn't even come close to the pure unadulterated sound of Mugen.

I have the Mugen CAI, but I installed it AFTER I had installed a really loud exhaust (J's Racing), so I'm sure it was even less noticeable. However, I did notice it was a touch louder with it on
I notice it most when driving next to a barrier/wall, where I can hear the sounds of the engine bouncing back at me. When throttling, you can hear the 'whoosh' of the air getting sucked into the intake
