Default some weird clutch issues

Alright, so last friday id say my clutch started acting funny. When switching gears i felt as if the clutch pedal was coming back out to fast or felt is if it extended further back (towards the rear of the car) when released. Also for the most part, when pressed in, the clutch pedal, if not coming back, it would stay pressed to the firewall but i would be in gear. I was told different solutions to the problem. Someone told me it was the master cylinder. I said it couldn't be because it was just changed maybe 3 months ago. Someone said it was the slave. So i changed it, and after driving the car tonight i did notice, the pedal was not sticking to firewall anymore. The pedal like i stated earlier, seemed to come back faster or extend further. Another person said it could be the rod from the master to the pedal. Anyone ever experience this issue?

After you did the slave, did you bleed the entire system? Do the gravity method. Also you need to adjust the rod from the cylinder.
