Default Some very important suspension questions for the experts on the subject!!!

I want to improve the handling of the s2000. I heard that comptech's system is lacking. Mugen is too damn expensive. I read an article in Sport Compact this month about the neuspeed set-up. Neuspeed springs/koni adjustables. Any feedback on this setup??
I realize that some products cost a whole lot of money and do nothing for the performance of a vehicle. The s2000 is such an excellently built car it is hard to improve upon. I like a nice tight ride, with an amlost race car feel with being overly tight.
In the list below please give me some price concious suggestions and tell me which make a great deal of difference on the street ( Don't do trackwork)
1. Sway bars
2. Strut brace
3. X-brace
4. Upper tie bar
*****PLUS ANY OTHER IMPORTANT COMPONENTS THAT I MAY HAVE FORGOTTEN!!!!
Can you adjust the rear camber of the s2000????
Am I cutting corners if I change only the springs????

Please Help me out just bought an s2000 and need help..................

I went with H&R coilovers, 18 inch wheels with decent tires, lowered about 1.5 inches. A few tricks for stability on the alignment, (not real good for tire life) and I couldnt be happier, No more snap oversteer, and very little understeer. Car rides stiff, but not too stiff. Our streets suck here. Just my two cents.

PFB's suggested suspension mods for an aggressive street car:

Stage one:
1. Mugen front sway bar
2. Spoon, Mingster, or Digrappa X-Brace
3. Precision, slightly aggressive alignment

Stage two:
4: Adjustable coilovers

Do some reading and searching, especially in the under-the-hood and racing forums, and you'll find more detail and other opinions than you can digest in a week...

What wheels are you using FULLTHROTTLE?? Those wheels are nice..!

Well said Chris - not much to add to that. The stock suspension is excellent and to improve on it, other than tie bars, is a drive and adjust process which, thanks to Honda's placement of the fuel intake, can be a pain in the butt to remove and replace the driver's rear strut each time you want to adjust it.

Unfortunately I do have to pull my units to adjust ride height, but compression is easily controlled at the top of each shock, and the rebound on the lower side.

I did remove the left rear, fabricate a low profile adjustment control, and permanently mount it on that shock. It now takes all of five or six minutes to adjust all compression and rebound settings. Certainly not as easy as I would like but no longer a cussing matter.

How much of a difference does an xbrace,tiebars and strut brace make for the s2000's ride and handling???
