Soldiering 02 sensor (cat) possible?
A couple people have told me they do not soldier this 02 sensor taht connects to the cat for whatevre reason. One claimed to much work the other said it usually fails and throws a CEL anyways.
is this true or are they just shops that are lazy to do the work? greatly appreciated b/c i have a SMOG CHECK coming up in a few days.
and this broke bc of the T1R test pipe recall on their systems and AJ Racing sent me an aftermarket piece trying to trick me instead of the real one with a adapter at the end bc of cost.
Pretty damn pathetic.

thanks.
yea the test pipe hole where the O2 sensor goes was originally made at the buttom so it was pointing to the left down and it broke b/c of it... if that explanation helps?

you konw the tip that goes into the Cat?
well that hit the floor and apparently broke internally cuz the check engine light went off in terms to that piece. i have that piece with the wires but about 4 inches long and A and J racing told me to solder that onto the existing wire.

The wires on the sensor are often stainless steel and can be really hard to solder. i would either use some crimp connectors, or an old fashioned terminal strip with the pairs of screws to join the wires.
