Default SoftTop Repair

Hey everyone I just recently purchased a Black 2005 Honda S2k and love it. I noticed that their is a hairline tear on the passenger side of the soft top. Water is not getting through but I can see this becoming a problem later one. The top is in perfect condition I don't want to replace it, is their a way to patch it? any suggestions?

Thanks

There are no really good patching alternatives. All the patches are fairly ugly involving tape and/or epoxy. Start saving up for a new top.

i have patched mine from the inside with soft top material from another top. It does not look great, but it is on the inside. It stopped the small hole from getting bigger

I ordered some Tear-Aid to seal the hole on the inside and a vinyl/leather repair kit to cover the cosmetic damage on the outside.

Someone posted this link in another thread - hopefully I'll get the same results this guy got:

I am also trying the Tear-Aid Type B product, it should be arriving at some point in the next week, I will post up feedback.

Duct tape and black RTV :-( I can't afford a new top at this point in time so it'll just look like shit for a while, but at least it won't leak if I ever get a surprise rainstorm (car not driven in rain except on race days).

Anyone know how much Honda charges normally to replace the top?
