i ordered mine online for around 25 bucks,
but mine fell off in a couple of months

im sure nothing is going to beat the rtv silicone and the vinyl
i even put it on spots where the soft top shows wear to prevent it from ripping

-oh btw you can get rtv silicone from auto zone, napa, oriely's or how ever you spell it
only 4 bucks i think

Place a reinforced vynal on the inside, hand stitch it together, then fill it in. Do it all the time.

Replacing the soft top is about 4-6 hours.

Sorry to awaken an old thread.

Where do you get the vinyl fabric from ?

I have two spots to fix on my soft top.

No need to apologize for actually using search. More people should.

takeshi: I usually do searches before posting questions. I guess that's why I don't have that many posts ;-) ...

Do they have the vinyl fabric at Hancock Fabrics and the like ? I looked at their web site and they didn't seem to have it.

I need to fix my top by this weekend because I plan on going on a trip so I can't wait for a week for the fabric to be shipped.

Doesn't someone make a patch for ice fishing huts that work very good on car tops? I believe I read it here about 1 1/2 years ago but I couldn't find it in my search.

Ok, I got some vinyl from Hancock Fabrics and some RTV silicone from Kragen.

I just patched my top tonight. We'll see how it holds up.

rrounds: How on earth are you getting 28+ MPG ? Are you using Amsoil 0w-30 Synthetic oil ?

Thanks s2cho for the tips on how to repair the soft top.

It's been holding well for a few weeks now.

I probably brought the top down for about 20-30 times so far.
