Ok heres the rundown:

Bought the car late january, on a friday. All weekend the top worked. Then we had the northern california storms for two weeks, I go to use the top and nothing. And off and on again storms since then. I've been doing my homework and have checked all under the hood fuses, fuse 5,12,18,25 under the dash all of those look good.

Well the other day was the first time I needed to use the defroster since I bought it and it does nothing as well.

E-brake light/switch is good.

I'm trying to get the center console off but unless theres a trick I can only get the rear part to come up a little and the rest won't budge. I'm stumped.

Well we got the console off and tested the connection to the switch and that tested well.

What was the root cause of your problem? Ran into the same thing with my car.
