Soft top isn't working

Did you remove the window motor, or leave anything unplugged when you took the door apart? After looking at the power window wiring diagram I am sure your problem is in the door.
The manual says that the top will not work with a faulty passenger window motor.

it was working while the passenger window was bad...but maybe me messing with it put it over the edge...ok i'll fix the window then see where i'm left...and is there a manuel way to put the top up and down??

Yeah, that's in your owners' manual. You have to disconnect the soft top motor from under the passenger dash, then you can operate it manually.
If you don't have the owner's manual, let me know and I'll perform the tedious task of typing it out Maybe I'll just get my admin to do it...yeah I don't think she'd be cool with that.
