How come all my friends with rear glass windows soft tops folds incorrectly!
One of the section folds forward and the top cannot fold down 100%.... so weird

If their stock elastic straps are original, they may have lost their elasticity and is causing the top to fold up incorrectly. They can check it by manually grabbing the front bar the straps are attached to and pushing it back as the top is being retracted. If it folds up properly when you do this, then it's time to get the Modifry straps.

My wife's 2006 S2000 has been garaged since birth. She recently noticed a hole in the soft top just behind the driver's roof latch. I noticed that when the top retracted the first bar wasn't being pulled down into place which put a lot of tension on the top where the hole was. It looks like the elastic straps have given up the ghost.
So if you notice your top isn't retracting correctly get it fixed before it punches a hole in your expensive top, or at the very least manually push the top frame bars into place as you lower the top--but watch your fingers!
