any recommendation on what tools to use to remove the top 2 bolts on diagram #3?

Ever get this fixed? I know this is like 5 years later. But I have the same problem. I will need to replace the actual plate the plastic and spring ride on. How did you get that plate out? Hopefully you didn't have to drop the transmission.
