I went into the dealership and asked for an S2000 oil filter. They handed me a filter and washer, and I left.

Now, either someone told me, or I read/heard somewhere that the S2000 uses a regular Honda filter. Obviously after reading a few threads on S2ki, I realize this is not so.

Now I'm not sure if I have the right filter or not. WTF? Are all the Honda oil filters the same color?

Can I tell just by looking at the filter? Ive long since thrown the box away.

If the filter has PCX in the part # it is correct. If it says PLM it is wrong. All Honda filters are blue, but the PCX is larger than the PLM filter.

Is my car going to grenade if I leave a PLM filter for 2k miles?

Im out of town now and I wont be back to the car for another week or so. Ill check it asap.
