You can sometimes find used oem diffs for $400-600 in the for sale forum...or post in your local forum, someone may have one laying around.
Occasionally you can find rebuilt diffs for $800-1000.
If your diff hasn't exploded, you can get it rebuilt with gears. That can cost $300-900 including all parts. The wide variation is because there are some gears that can be had for Mazda's and Kia's that work and are very cheap. There are also differences in the prices charged by those doing the rebuilding.
