High-Flow Cat FTW! They usually perform just as well as test pipes anyway.

Plus you're not being a douche and polluting more than you need to so you can "sound cool".

And yes, California is shit.
high flow cat = the green mod

it's awful how such a beautiful state as california gets ruined by such strict car laws, immigration issues, crime, and what 10% income tax?

They are illegal. I've never heard of someone getting checked for one if you got pulled over but I know you won't pass safety inspection without one. Not without greasing a few palms at least. I did manage to pass emissions (barely) with a hollowed out cat in my Integra once. I didn't know it was hollowed out at the time.

It depends which state/area you live in... some people don't care as much. I've been running a test pipe on my S2000 for a couple years and never got trouble... I have a test pipe on my Prelude for the last 4-5 years and had no problems. Is it worth the hassle? Not for people living in areas where the police are sticklers about it. Another option is to get a high flow cat...

i've had mine on for almost a year.

been followed by chp and local police and never got pulled over. i even idled next to a cop for a few min and he just looks over and then minded his own business (knock on wood)

except for speeding

Removal of the cat is illegal in all 50 states. However, the probability of getting caught varies from locale to locale.

they pulled out this stick that had a mirror attached to it. the officer slid the mirror portion under the car and found there was no catalytic converter in my friend's vehicle.

i wonder if anyone else had this happen to them?
