After talking to my boy about the best way to go about doin this and gettin all exited for the install I heard him say that the drivers side rear would be a PITA cause of the fuel neck. So Im sitting there staring at the top mounts for the shock tower thinkin how im gonna get in there and then it came to me *unhook the fuel tank neck. I did that and the problem shock for him was a breeze for me.

Anyone else do this or think of this?

A 10mm socket with an extension gets back there no problem.

Yes, undo the ones by the gas cap (three 8mm ones) and the one 10mm on the frame inside the trunk.

I think everyone has done this. You would have to be really stupid to go about the instal and not do this.

i did mine with it there actually.

and i do have a butcher's hand well, maybe medium size asian butcher's hand

with my coilovers i let it on.

with springs, i took it out. it doesn't really matter.

the DIY writeup suggests you unhook it.. it certainly made it easier for me.. I can't imagine doing it with the neck still bolted down.

It's not bad with the neck still bolted down. It wasn't a big deal for me. I'm used to having to fenagle things. I deal with a lot of women of lower virtue. lol. jk jk.

Seriously, though....it wasn't that hard to just reach in there. You set up the socket and extension onto the bolt without the ratchet, and THEN put the ratchet on there.

My friend had a real hard time with it. He was telling me it was going to be a pain. I told him it took me "5 seconds to take off those bolts". He was pretty pissed off.
