So I broke my transmission yesterday
#12
I have a customer who just killed 2nd gear on his vortech equipped ap2 . The car was only making 300whp and it has an act clutch . I just replaced the transmission for him to discover that the diff is now making noise . Bottom line here is how you drive the car not how much power you are putting down . My customer is beats the crap out of his car and it shows .

I only made 325 whp.
I just drive the car hard, I see red line often.
........
I can't believe a transmission would fail with 15,xxx on it

you answered your own question!!
S2ks have somewhere in the 195-210 range whp stock
(having said that, bet it's a blast to drive--hope you get it back up and running soon!)

actually, thanks for the advice, but it seems like I jumped the gun too soon, it's actually my diff that failed after all. I pulled the drive shaft just now and was able to "drive" the car on the lift. Then shortly after, I spun the driveshaft (that was left connected to the diff) and it's locked up.

Not sure if this could apply to you or not, but a local friend had an issue with differentials before he 'fixed' the problem.
He was pretty much stock... (N/A, just exhaust), but had a stage 3 ceramic clutch in. Not sure why he had that clutch, i think his went out and he just figured stage 3 is better.
Anyway, he blew out 3 differentials before he went in and replaced that clutch! After the 2nd one, he knew it was the clutch, but just took it extra easy. He didnt drive the car particularily hard either. Whenever he downshifted, he never revmatched - and when he shifted, he wasnt very smooth.
Keep in mind, this was a stock diff - and I would think your Cusco diff should hold up better to an aftermarket clutch. How agressive of a clutch were you running? For 325WHP you shouldnt need that wild of a clutch.....unless you are planning on more power.
