So lastly, will a Spoon/J's snorkel provide any more or colder air to my engine? It will to the box, but will it get to the engine? Or will it perhaps only provide a little improved response? Will an Alex duct in the bumper do anything? Probably just a little response if ANYTHING with my setup as stated above.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the good info.
But Im trying to be specific.. I wish I could do some real testing of both.
(BTW - J's makes a piece like the AUT also)
I know the true snorkels DO direct more air into the box... But is that additional air ending up in the engine? Or does it just provide better response over the AUT.
Again, it's like an AEM intake. Its awesome, but cutting out the faux vents in front of the filter does nothing for this intake... It's already sucking as much as it can.
So with my AUT, is there more air that can go into the engine (with a true snorkel), or is the engine already getting as much air as it can through the K&N filter and TB?
Thanks!

Hey guys I fitted a Hong Kong Spoon special - ie an ebay fake a couple hundred miles back and have not suffered heatsoak once yet. For the money it is spot on, required no bonnet cutting albeit slight adjustments to the bonet catch and rubber stoppers to lift it a mm or so in order to fit.
All in all fits great, bonnet is flush, Lots of airflow now.
Dont see the point spending big money on the real thing when these work just as good!
Got mine for $95 delivered from HK, to US that would be $90. You may have to pay custom duty but that aint a huge amount!
