Snorkel Comparison

Snorkel Comparison
Hey everyone...
I am staying NA with the basic bolt ons.
Anyway, I am hooking up a snorkel to my stock box.
I currently have the AUT plate (like Garage Defend) paired with a few other pieces...
But I am wondering if a *real* snorkel like Spoon or J's would be better?
Surely the AUT directs air into the box that would otherwise go into the engine bay, but it doesn't have a bottom "half" to guide air completely, thus more goes into the radiator with the AUT plate vs a normal snorkel.
My question - I know only a certain amount of air can get to the engine (like cutting the faux vents out for an AEM intake). I have a Hondata gasket, Spoon spec TB, CF heatshield, and K&N filter...
So lastly, will a Spoon/J's snorkel provide any more or colder air to my engine? It will to the box, but will it get to the engine? Or will it perhaps only provide a little improved response? Will an Alex duct in the bumper do anything? Probably just a little response if ANYTHING with my setup as stated above.
Thanks a lot.

the aut plate collects air, but not from a concentrated area like the j's or the spoon snorkel would do. the spoon and j's snorkel both collect cold air, that comes straight on at the car, whereas the aut plate will collect air scattered from the bottom of the car and underneath the bumper

Js also has a version that does not require cutting...
But still original question unanswered. I know they the JDM true snorkels collect more, colder, air... But does that count to anything?

Maybe someone with a VAFC could answer using the MAP display.
You'd think, that at hiway speeds, that cooler air rushing into the airbox would add some benefit - I don't think J's, Mugen, or Spoon would design something like that if there was no benefit (although, probably small)
