Hey guys I need help with my car and I hope it's not going to cost me a fortune to repair but it probably will.


My AP2 has been smoking recently. Whitish smoke coming from my bay and out back through the exhaust. Smells like oil. No visible leaks so it possibly might be an internal engine problem such as my bearings and rings which I hope isn't. It doesn't do it all the time especially when I hit 5th or 6th gear. Usually happens when I launch into 1st, 4th, or at idle. Besides that my baby drives just fine.


Also it needs dyno tuning and it is turboed as well so possibly that may help the problem? I just got it oil changed.

Possibly the turbo is leaking oil internally. As always, compression test and leak down test are required if it is not the turbo.

Check your intercooler piping for oil. If there's a lot, then either your turbo is going to need to be rebuilt/replaced or you're running too much oil pressure.

Thanks for the advice guys. It does need a tune up bad and they should run leak tests at the shop, correct? I'm going to be taking it to Jo-Tec to have them tune it for me once I have the money. It's my main car so I hope it will be alright till I have the money for it..
