Default Smallest Diameter Flywheel/Clutch

Hello all,
I just put on my ARE dry sump pan and I'm having an issue....

As you can see the flywheel is sitting lower than the pan. I need to lower the motor a good 3 inches down into the frame (Lotus 7 kitcar).

Does anyone make a flywheel and clutch that is of a smaller diameter than the stock one?

Thanks in advance,
-Zach

Were you going to do something special with the starter?

So nobody makes a bigger starter ring gear to match a smaller diameter flywheel/clutch combo? Are there ANY flywheels out there that are a smaller diameter than the stocker?

All the flywheels available use the stock starter.

So I'm basically dead in the water in regards to finding a smaller flywheel/clutch that will allow me to clearance the bellhousing so i can mount the motor 3" lower in my chassis? ...thats depressing.

I would imagine you could have a custom flywheel fabricated to fit, however you may have to find another way to start the car. For the short term, you could even push start. Given it will be such a light car, that shouldn't be too much of a problem especially if this will primarily be a track day car.

"We" allready push to start, correct?

This gives a whole new meaning to the Push-To-Start button.

Replace the words Engine Start with a little guy pushing a car
