Siccishead----not sure I'm fully understanding your preventative tip. Could you explain again for my feeble brain? Do you mean that you'd apply a preemptive patch to that area---like the iron-on---before any tearing occurs? Or another kind of patch?

Pretty much.

Sit in your car and look where the frame is contacting the fabric top. This contact will eventually wear down the fabric and actually tear at the seams one by one.

Apply a patch that will add a new layer that will protect the actual fabric top.

I'm gonna give that neoprene glue a whirl, too. I'll post the results . . .

You have to file down the frame to stop this from happening. All the details are in the FAQs
