Small Leak Near or On Tranny

Here's one for ya, my rear main showed a good amount of leakage (engine oil) when my tranny failed, I got the seal so I could replace it but it hasn't leaked any more since (about 5 clutch changes)
I figured it just got really hot (part of the mainshaft melted) but it must not have permenantly deformed . . . After more than 100,000 plus the seals are still good on the engine.
If the crank isn't scored (shouldn't be at that mileage) a new seal will be just fine.

It has allready been determined to be either engine oil, or trans oil. Both are similar weights color and smell. It's not the slave cylinder.
The tranny needs to come off to confirm where the leak is coming from. I'll know more on wednesday.

It's pretty bold to say there is a design problem when you don't know where it goes and what it looks like.
have a nice day...

You are correct I don't know you.
Here's your statement:
"why wouldn't honda design a permenent fix for an important seal?? stupid IMHO."
Which was made right after this one:
"the above posted PN describes a Oil seal but it doesn't say where it goes?"
The type of seal and location on a S2000 is no different from any other modern car. Pardon me If I don't see the logic in "stupid IMHO"
