Default Sludge Build-Up, how to clean?

As I was cleaning the air filter etc, I realized that there is a thick sludge build up on throttle body area. After carefull examination; I found out that almost everywhere inside the intake manifold is covered with that sludge. Injectors have some on them also.

The solution for this is to take the manifold out and clean it. But, it is a lot of work to be done.

Is there any way to clean the moanifold on its place? I have seen some people using carb cleaners while the car is running. do you think it is healthy?

yes. that is a good way of doing it.
doing it without the engine running is a potential for hydrolock.
