Default slipping trans? not clutch?

Trying to figure out what's up with my 06.

Went through a comp stage 2 clutch that was garbage and had the springs break out of it after 15k easy miles.

Now I'm using act HD pressure plate, OEM disc and bearing, matched with ap1 flywheel.
(4000 miles on it so far)

My issue is whenever I push the throttle 50% or more, I get what feels like a slipping clutch, and the throttle input even feels hesitant. ... Primarily lower gears 2,3,4 ... It makes no damn sense to me. I took off my k&n intake and put my catalytic converter back on... Slightly improved but its still very weak through 3-4k , slightly stronger 5-6k, VTEC 6-7 is strong and 7-8 also. But it feels like a "step" increase in power... Not linear...

Please help me figure this out... Car shifts fine, trans fluid is about 10k miles old (Honda mtf) .

Thoughts?

More than likely its your clutch pedal free play. If it feels like its slipping, it probably is.

Clutch free play is about 1/4" ... What would cause this clutch setup to slip? Everything was installed to spec. Grease only slightly on inner splines of disc, inside of t/o bearing, and shift fork.

Did you change to the AP1 slave cylinder or delete your CDV?

With your pinky finger, with very light pressure, measure your free play. Still 1/4"?

Looking up at what I believe to be the clutch safety switch, pressing with my pinky there is almost no resistance until that switch is not touching the pad, then resistance is strong.

I put a small amount of urea grease on the splines of the input shaft when I put the new disc in, the pressure plate was brand new and the flywheel we touched with a zip wheel to scuff it but it only had 15k on it. Could that grease have contacted the disc and be causing the problem

A slipping clutch will allow RPM's to rise without accelerating the car proportionally.

Do your RPM's rise more freely when the "hesitation" or loss of acceleration happens?

When the car is running and it feels hesitant it may have a momentary feeling of slip but ... Its mostly like a struggle. I'll try and make a video later today
