the problem is not an adjustable cable or change in air flow, my problem has not came back sine we unplugged and plugged the MAP back in, it will probably eventually come back but most sources are still pointing to this being a map sensor problem. Good ol tapping of the map sensor may delay the problem for a while for anyone else having this problem if you can't get a snapshot taken at Honda with the PGM.
