Hello all,

I've been trying to solve what sounds like the same problem on my 2001 that I've had for a couple of months.

Aside from the hesitation, mine suffers from dipping revs at idle a lot of the time too. Worries me that we aren't seeing any firm fixes on this

Here's the thread I started, hope someone can shed some light for me starting to run out of ideas

Happens with my '00 S2000 too.
I live in Norway, and this problem also happens in winter with -20 degrees celcius.
So it cant be Heat Soak.
I've tried zip ties and tapping the Map sensor.
I will try to reset my ECU this weekend.

I suggest fundraising to get this thing fixed.
If there is a S2000 expert somewhere, we all can pay him to solve this problem.

Try taking off your MAP and put it somewhere dry and warm to evaporate the moisture. Or replace it.

Its definitely a hesitation after the throttle delivers power briefly, then backs off, then its there again, and its intermittent, and lower RPM 2500-3500. It feels like when VSA cuts power for traction control.
I just want to confirm that this description above is exactly what it feels like. I think some people have different issues that are similar, but this issue above seems to be very specific and identically described by many others. My car is a 2007 with only 45k miles on it and it's not heat related or low end torque related. The people that are saying it's from one of those reasons probably have not experienced this specific issue. There is a definitely a common problem going on, but it's hard to differentiate it from other similar issues.

I have the exact same issue. 2006 with 5300 miles. The car is like new. I'm surprised no one here has found the solution.

I traveled a lot to find the car which fit what I wanted. I was in NYC looking at a CR that was just beat to death. I didn't want to spend 30k on a low mileage S2k. I had given up on the search then my wife sends me a link to this car. I was like, "IT'S MINE." I drove 3 hours and grabbed it. They staved off multiple deposits while I was on my way down there lol. $22k + taxes and tags. Damn thing is clean top to bottom.
