Hello all,
I've been trying to solve what sounds like the same problem on my 2001 that I've had for a couple of months.
Aside from the hesitation, mine suffers from dipping revs at idle a lot of the time too. Worries me that we aren't seeing any firm fixes on this
Here's the thread I started, hope someone can shed some light for me starting to run out of ideas

Happens with my '00 S2000 too.
I live in Norway, and this problem also happens in winter with -20 degrees celcius.
So it cant be Heat Soak.
I've tried zip ties and tapping the Map sensor.
I will try to reset my ECU this weekend.
I suggest fundraising to get this thing fixed.
If there is a S2000 expert somewhere, we all can pay him to solve this problem.

I have the same issue, i posted a thread recently with no real feedback, I have an 07 with 25K.
Its definitely a hesitation after the throttle delivers power briefly, then backs off, then its there again, and its intermittent, and lower RPM 2500-3500. It feels like when VSA cuts power for traction control.

I traveled a lot to find the car which fit what I wanted. I was in NYC looking at a CR that was just beat to death. I didn't want to spend 30k on a low mileage S2k. I had given up on the search then my wife sends me a link to this car. I was like, "IT'S MINE." I drove 3 hours and grabbed it. They staved off multiple deposits while I was on my way down there lol. $22k + taxes and tags. Damn thing is clean top to bottom.
