single pop or purge from the engine
I got a single quick pop or purge surge sound from the engine while downshifting. It sounded almost like old coke and pepsi bottles when you took off the metal cap. It also reminded me of the sound of a Rally or turbo car too. It was just a quick pop and purge sound. I didn't notice any difference in power after taking back off at the light. I was wondering if any one else had that sound before. What do you ladies and gentlemen think it may be? The oil dip stick popping up or a loose plug? I will check the oil dip stick in the morning and plugs on Monday when I have time.
Thanks,
Richard

I think it was just the oil dip stick popping up as it was loose when I checked it this morning. I had just checked the oil level the day before. There was a single pop and purge sound of air coming from under the hood for a half a second. The air sound quieted down instantly like it had sealed itself up. I just got the spark plug product update letter in the mail Saturday from Honda so I will get that done soon but I think it was just the oil dip stick popping up.
