Single 'knock' from rear suspension when pulling off or breaking.

i keep seeing this problem over and over. ITS THE REAR AXLE NUTS. the splines are shifting back and forth in the hub. get 2 new nuts and torque them to 225 ft lbs. problem solved.

I have exactly the same problem (i think). When you've engaged 1st or reverse gear - let off the clutch, as the drive is taken up and the car starts moving there is a clunk from the rear of the car.
