Wow that 3.5" into 3" looks massive. Perhaps I can join the 400 club with this setup

Doesnt the resonator/mufflers have a big part as to the sound it makes and how loud?

I dont think the diameter or length of the tubing play that much of a part in noise reduction.

Then again, this is just a guess based on my limited knowledge on the subject.

I was considering fabricating a 2.75 inch exhaust with HKS mufflers. But i'm worried now because it might sound too loud and annoying (any feedback on someone doing this? Looking to get some more hp gain over the current HKS yet keep it's sound)

The diameter of your tubing has tons to do with how loud your exhaust is. Sideways' first exhaust had big diameter and a couple resonators...that's why the initial exhaust was so loud. I have been doing a lot of research on this and I originally wanted to do a large diameter dual setup just like Sideways. The problem I was having is that you want to use the largest, large diameter, high flow mufflers you can find but every muffler I researched would have had me making a sharp bend after the suspension which would have defeated the purpose of putting all the work into a custom exhaust. It seems to me that the only way to get nice flowing, big mufflers under the is to have them exit in an 'X' configuration from the rear to avoid having to make the sharp bend after the suspension...but I hate the way that looks I'm back at square one.

I wonder if there's such thing as a short can high flowing muffler that's quiet.

With a new & unique Burns resonator the sound at idle dropped 5 decibels.

More sound testing this week comparing it with the Amuse and I'll be giving it a street tryout by weeks end.

The residents at Crystal Cove have been complaining about noise. Stand by.

i wonder how it will stack up against the sound of 3in exhausts on an Evo or STI db wise.

Did some more sound testing today. We are creating new mufflers currently to bring the volume down a touch more.

We will be checking it again Friday when I install it for drone testing.

This guy just call him Jack for now.

Them big ol' Vipers won't have anything on this S with rumble pipes.

I wonder if it will garner any attention at the Derelicts Meet with all the Cobras running sidepipes. It is a nice DEEP tone.
