Default Side to side throw of the Shift Lever different for 2-3 and 4-5 gear shifts

Hey guys,

I noticed that my side to side throw on the shifter is different. The side to side throw going from 2nd to 3rd is noticeably longer than the side to side throw going from 4th to 5th gear. Can anyone double check if this is normal? I hope it is or I hope it's a simple fix like replacing a transmission mount. Any help would be cool

its normal...I can usually go diagonally from 2nd to get to 3rd but it takes more of an over and up motion for 4th to 5th if that makes sense...and for future reference, our transmission mounts would not effect an issue like this...youd mainly have vibrations if there was a mount issue as our transmissions are direct drive

Good to know! I just assumed that IF a transmission mount was shot, the transmission could have sagged to one side and be off-centered, but I guess that would mean the lever would be lopsided as well (which in my case, it isn't). Thanks!
