Side Brush Modification for Hard Top

Side Brush Modification for Hard Top
I have searched and could not find an example....
I installed my hardtop last weekend and obviously the stock plastic panels dont fit with the catchers installed.
Is it possible to modify the stock plastic to conform to the catchers.
My car and trim pieces are 75 miles away so I cant see them readily.
Some have said all you had to do was cut the brushes, but from what I remember the plastic itself seemed to contact the hard top catchers.
Anyways is there a DIY on this? preferably with pics?
THanks in advance.

Just take em out. I heated the plastic tab that was hitting the catcher, then bended it to the point of breaking. But I decided I honestly dont need the brushes, so I unscrewed them from the panel, and now it looks cleaner. My .02.

^^^^^^ He is right. You can purchase them from hardtop guy or majstic or whereever, but ask yourself this question, do you really need it to make the car look better? If you say yes then spend away, but if not, save yourself the hassle, headache and money and simply remove it.

I am hearing bad things lately about Hardtop guy, and his lack of communication and orders taking forever, where are they on the majestic site? Are they the ones that fit correctly or do they need to be modified?
