I use the GM and I have for over 80k miles. I change around 12-15k depending on my schedule. I have never had a problem. When it drains out it looks almost as clean as the new I put in.
I used to run Mobil 1 75w90 but the last time I changed it, it looked like burnt motor oil. Honda doesn't recommended that weight anymore and I have changed also. I run the LE 607 (I think). It is like syrup trying to put that stuff in but it works great. That is what I'll stick with from now on.

my car and especially the trans took about 10,000miles to break in and be smooth as it still is 5 years later. this is an excellent trans, but it has little tollerance inside so everything is tight, especially at first. this trans is not like any other, close to my former miatas, but better. it takes a bit to get used to, yes when cold it can crunch and even pop out of first when taking off on cold, you just gotta gently place it in gear when cold.
