Should I take off the intake before a service?
Well, according to carfax, I'm the second owner of my S2000. I purchased it at around 65k on the odo and just about two days ago I went by the Honda dealer to see if the car has had all or any of the recalls done. My car now has almost 84k and still drives strong and to my surprise, none of the recalls has been done! The service manager said the parts are on order and will give me a call when the parts come in.
I have a aem V1 CAI on my S and was wondering if I should put the stock intake back on just in case anything might of happened to the engine and with them try to blame it on my aem intake?
I spent an hour searching for anything similar but couldn't find any. thanks.

Actually, the federal law act called the Magnusson/Moss protects you against warranty issues that a manufacturer unfairly accuses you of voiding the warranty by installing aftermarket parts. The manufacturer must prove that your aftermarket part causes a failure. However, in your case, you are far beyond the warranty mileage so it's a moot point. I think it is in your best interest to leave the intake intact and be upfront with your mechanic so he can troubleshoot any problem you may have.
