Honda MTF is good stuff and easy to find. I did mine less than 7k miles ago and it still feels pretty good. I'll change it as the shifting feels notchy/clunky/stiff. The manual has a long time interval between changes, but just go on feel.

Most any MTF will be ok in your transmission but you will want to go with what works best for your opinion on shift feel.

LOL, I looked at your list of mods in your sig, I guess "very easy" is being used loosely.

To the OP, I use Honda MTF but it shears down quickly, maybe the oil pump contributes to this. If you go OEM, I'd recommend changing it out at the most 15K.

7 months and 3000 miles is way too early.
unless you did them all on track.

but if you can't help it - go ahead

the OP doesn't know what brand fluid the shop that changed it put in--that's reason enough to change it immediately regardless of how many miles he's driven--our transmissions are very picky about the brand of fluid that's used.

Aside from the tranny fluid change, you should adjust the clutch rod & regrease your shifter ( https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...&f=22&t=772277 )

I change it every 10k due to the occasional auto-x. However, even if I don't auto-x at all in a season, I would change it once a year. As other have said, even the good stuff degrades with time.
