Default short shifter for MY02/tranny help

i am looking for a short shifter for my s2k.

i searched and found really good reviews for PR/RP(sorry forgot what it was) but seems like some of them were making noises?

and something about using counterweight knobs=best?

onto the tranny help i needed

my stick viberates a lot during normal driving. i am thinking about changing out the tranny fluid, and putting in the short shifter. would that do the trick or is there something internally wrong with the tranny?

thanks in advance

It's normal for the shifter to vibrate. I have changed tranny fluid, installed Axialflow SS, Skunk2 weighted knob, and a Spoon engine torque damper and it still vibrates.

Vibration is a good thing
If the shifter did not move with the rest of the transmission it would cause premature were on the gears, synchronizers, and other moving parts. There has to be movement in the shifter to prevent this from happing.

You can check the tranny mount that is by the shifter, under the car. The mount has two bolts/2 nuts and mine was missing both nuts!! So basically, my tranny mount had no nuts!
