shifter stuck in gear during decel

shifter stuck in gear during decel
this only happens after 15-20 minutes of highway or stop-n-go driving (fully warmed up) - when decelerating in 2nd, 3rd and 4th (any rpm range, mostly 3000-4000 on mine), after pressed down the clutch pedal, engine speed doesn't drop immediately, and the exhaust/engine sound indicates that the clutch is still engaged, which probably made it harder to shift into neutral, felt like almost have to force it out.
if i leave the clutch pressed down, it would take about 2-3 seconds before the rpm starts to drop (but slowly). once it drops pass 2000rpm, there's a pretty significant disengaging vehicle movement and sound from the tranny or clutch.
my car is a MY01, with about 65,000 highway mileage, had the 4th gear pop out TSB and the clutch decel noise TSB done back when it had less than 30,000 miles, recently replaced the tranny fluid due to this problem but doesn't seem like it helped much, if at all...
is this got something to do with clutch fluid? anyone else had this problem and fixed it with a simple clutch fluid change, or if there's more to it...
thanks for your input.
*edit: if i give it some gas while the clutch pedal is fully pressed down, it disengages immediately.

What kind of tranny fluid was put in there?
In the whole time that you've had the car, have you ever had the clutch fluid flushed and bled?
It sounds like your clutch is not disengaging. This is sort of confirmed by the fact that when you give it some gas, it will come out of gear. This is rev-matching. You can change gears without the use of the clutch when you rev-match just right.

I had this problem with my 2000 S2000. I replaced the clutch at 50,000 miles because of it. Clutch disk was just at its wear limit with minor hot-spots on flywheel and pressure plate. In my case, if I pushed the clutch in at 2000 rpm, and coasted to a stop, the clutch was still engaged until I blipped the throttle or used the brake.
I've not had any problems since the clutch replacement.

My MY01 with 29k has done this since I bought it. I have done all services on the car, and have always babied it ( well, as much as you can baby and S2K ).
I only notice it on my morning drive to work, which includes like 15 stop signs and ALOT of stop and go. If I'm coasting in 1st ( short distances stop sign to light, not worth shifting when handling a hot coffee and cigarette), just before the light you can feel the pause before the clutch disengages. I've never had any problems with other gears, and all in all clutch functions perfectly the rest of the time.
I always attributed this as to being a " feature of the car ". They ought to start listing these quarks on the windows sticker when you buy the car.
Power windows
Axle Pops
Power Top
2nd Gear Grind
Dual Exhaust
Clutch Buzz
xenon headlights
morning cold weather start
leather seats
Convertible latch rattle
240hp
High oil consumption
