Shifter really off center
Hey guys, I was clipped pretty hard on my front right side (right at the wheel) a few weeks back hard enough to spin my car around. I got the car back from the shop and I've noticed since having it that the shifter is no longer centered and leans to the right. To the point that if the stick is pushed all the way to the left between 1st and 2nd gear, it 's in the position that would normally be if a car was in neutral. Needless to say I'm taking it back to the shop tomorrow and raising hell.
I have never seen anything like this, any ideas what could cause this to happen (messed up engine mount?) and anything else I should make sure gets checked out seeing how I'm having this issue?

The whole motor must be rotated. The tranny only mounts one way to the motor. The shifter inturn only fits one way directly into the transmission. So for you to have this problem, means you have a much larger problem. I would think that you have trashed the front sub frame in the colision.
Again this is just my educated guess on the subject, I have never seen anything like this before either.
