Shifter Rattle
I've tried to search the forums a bit before making this post to see if anyone has posted a similar issue, but i didnt have much luck. Let me try to explain the problem in as much detail as possible. First off i always let the car warm up (3 bars) before driving it, some days the shifter/gearbox is fine no noises or anything like that, but sometimes when i start driving it, the shifter/box starts rattling. Mostly on higher revs in 1st-3rd gear. Not really sure what could be causing the problem or if its normal, but i just wanted to see if there was some solution or should i not be worried about the situation.
Thanks
Thanks

Did you know that is very bad for your gearbox?
Did you know that in those circumstances the gearbox' oil pump does NOT pump?
Did you know that letting the car idle in neutral for minutes with a cold gearbox and cold oil and no oil flow to the pirimairy shaft is not very good for the primairy bearings?
There is no better way to drive-to-warm-up.
Anyway...
Your MY00 may have worn out (plastic) shifter bushings.
Those bushings are cheap and easy to replace.
It also gives you the opportunity to put some fresh grease on the shifter pivot points.
Allthough a moving / vibrating shifter is relatively normal.
The shifter is directly linked (via those bushings) to the shift rod that goes into the gearbox and mounted onto the gearbox.

yeah it sounds like its inside the box and makes a plastic type rattle, its pretty annoying but doesnt seem to alter the performance or change anything about shifting. Just a noise that bothers me sometimes
