My buddy just picked up a AP1 BB and it only have this one problem.
The shifter wont "pop" down to put in reverse unless u push it down pretty hard (Does not feel springy at all), then you have to manually pop it back up to be able to shift into 5th and 6th gear. Seems like the spring is worn and there is a lot of shaft play while its in gear. Going through all gears there is no grind or whatsoever so I am pretty sure it is just a worn out shifter. It goes into gear pretty smooth too. While its in the down position it can only go 1-4 and Reverse.


I was wondering what parts I need to order to rebuild the shifter. I had a link to the diagram but its at home, and I am at work currently. Me and my buddy will take out the shifter this weekend to see what is really missing from the diagram. Will post the link to the diagram when I get home if noone got to it before me.
