Can anyone diagnois this problem? The trans works fine and you can shift all gears however you do not have to push down to go over and find reverse. Also when shifting up the gears you find the gates for 1 though 4th ok but often you miss 5th and 6th. It seems like the shifter is sliding too far to the right past the 5 and 6 gates over to where reverse gate is and you have to pull it back to the left to try and find them. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, is the problem in the gear shift mechanism or the trans shifter rod assembly itself???

Sounds like the shift stick's "UP/DOWN" detent spring has either broken or come detached. It's at the bottom of the stick in the console. It's a warranty item and you should get them to fix it.
