shift from 1st at 9K RPMS... help
It seems when I floor it in 1st. The higher the RPM's, the harder it is to throw it into 2nd. Does anyone have this problem. It seems at 9K, its extemely hard to shift quickly... like there is some hesitation. And if I JAM it as hard as I can, sometimes it grinds. Anyone have this problem, I've read the topic 2nd gear grind. But my problem is only at very very high RPM's, like 8.5-9.???

Don't know if this is your problem but the following might be helpful. The guy who wrote it works for Honda and is very knowledgeable and well respected here:

Just a question for the pro's here : Is there anything Honda could have made to help the transmission mainshaft and the clutch disc slowdown faster when shifting ?
