Default Shaking from rear

Hey everyone...

I have a 2001 S2000 with 90,000 miles on it, and last year started noticing major shaking during any acceleration. I had both CV joints replaced and it fixed the problem, but only for about three months. The shakes returned completely and the shop replaced the joints again. This fixed the problem for about a week or so, and now only the drivers side is shaking.

I've researched a lot on these "shakes" and most people seem to have found the cure to be new CV's, but that's obviously not the case for me.

Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you getting new OEM axles or rebuilt ones?

Get either new OEM inner CV joints or axles.

yea.. this is an easy one! good luck! I had the "shakes" for a long ass time also. I swapped my CV's and its perfect now... The car has never been as smooth.

So get some new axles and/or new -inner- CV's and you should be good to go.

Oh, and save yourself the $$$ and do it yourself! Its a good learning experience! haha.

maybe dumb question, but swapping axles cost 100 bucks each and the CV joint housings are 220 each. Does swapping the entire axle also fix the problem just the same?
