Setting the EPS torque sensor neutral position
Ok to fix the eps on a wrecked s2k i am working on i have to set the neutral position on the torque sensor. Now i understand u must turn the wheel left the right and that crap. But what about the scs short to get the eps module in the mode it needs to be in?

I used a paperclip to do it. I put the clip into the proper connection in the OBDII port, and grounded it. That put the sensor in the proper mode.
FYI, The dealer worked on my car and the steering was way heavier after I got it back. I ask them to do it and they said, no. No CEL code, no EPS torque sensor neutral position. So I had not choice to do it my self. It worked great.

according to the honda service cd, you will short the SCS connector, and then do a couple of things with the steering wheel in the allotted time. Its for a euro S2k. We are USDM s2ks, but I think that shorting the 2 pin's on modifry's website to ge tthe MIL (CEL) light to blink is doign the exact same thing as shorting the SCS connector (since they both do the same thing, cause the malfunction indicator lamp to blink to point you to the problem).

I will look it up later (I have to find my helms. But the details on how to were in the helms manual, section 42-2 if I remember the sections correctly. It also used to be in the s2ki library.

yeah looking on 17-45 of the helm manual, shorting the SCS connector with the PGM is the same thing as connecting the paperclip like modifry does to blink the CEL light.
